Flooded Basement in Commercial Property

A water main broke in a vacant commercial property and caused tremendous damage to areas of the building. The owner of the property called SERVPRO of Central Chester County for the clean up and restoration of the affected areas. In this specific  case, we pumped out over 10,000 gallons of water out of this area. And that was only the first step in the restoration process. The flooring and drywall were removed; contents were moved out, documents hung to be dried, and then we set up our drying equipment. Specialized air movers/fans and dehumidifiers were used to draw the remaining moisture out of the basement.  From start to finish the job took 3 days and 1 very long night.
